An important part of caring for your pets means having to address end of life care. When you and your pet’s Veterinarian deem it necessary, we offer hospice care where our primary goal is quality of life: keeping your pet comfortable and happy for as long as possible. When your pet’s quality of life begins to decline, we are here to offer euthanasia. While we try to schedule this as an appointment, we also know sometimes this is a last minute decision, so please call the office for guidance or help with scheduling.
We do all we can to make your pet and your family as comfortable as possible during this difficult time. We have a separate entrance and exit on the side of the building – just call the office when you arrive. We will sedate your pet to help relax them and you can be present with your pet for the entire process if you wish. We offer cremation through The Animal Soul (Delaware Pet Cremation), where your pet will be handled with dignity and respect.
While this is something we deal with often in our chosen career, we have all also been in the place of an impossible choice with our own pets - we all understand and are here to help.
